Melanie from HEYA gave me exactly the same impression when it came to organising open mic events. I was fooled into thinking it looked easy, so I decided to launch my own stage. What a mistake!

There is so much work behind the scenes. I would probably have been better off continuing to attend the Heya Sessions instead.
