Product Designer (UX/UI) internship: help shape the next version of HEYA

Join HEYA and Help Design the Next Generation of the Platform

At HEYA, we're building much more than a platform.

Our ambition is to become the leading professional network for artists, cultural organisations, and creative professionals in Belgium.

Following the launch of our beta version, we're entering a new phase of development focused on improving the user experience, strengthening product consistency, and preparing the next generation of features that will support our growing community.

To help us achieve this, we're looking for a Product Designer Intern who will work directly alongside the CPO to imagine, structure, and design the future experiences of HEYA.

Your Mission: Design a Consistent and Impactful Product Experience

As a Product Designer, you'll contribute to strategic projects that will directly impact thousands of future users.

You'll be involved in researching, designing, documenting, and improving key parts of the user experience.

Design System & Product Consistency

One of our major priorities over the coming months is the creation of HEYA's Design System V2.

You'll contribute to:

  • Creating and organising components

  • Structuring variables and design tokens

  • Writing usage guidelines

  • Documenting the design system in Figma and Notion

  • Improving visual and functional consistency across the platform

User Journeys & Onboarding

Onboarding is one of the most critical moments in the user experience.

You'll work on:

  • User research

  • Analysis of existing journeys

  • Wireframes

  • Interactive prototypes

  • User testing

  • Iterations based on collected feedback

The goal is simple: help new members quickly understand the value of HEYA and navigate the platform effortlessly.

New Products & Features

You'll also contribute to the design of new product initiatives:

  • Organisation profiles for cultural and creative organisations

  • The platform's B2B MVP

  • The HEY showcase mini-site

  • Future evolutions of the mobile experience

You'll collaborate closely with the CPO to ensure designs are implemented accurately and consistently.

Research, Testing & Continuous Improvement

At HEYA, product decisions are driven by real user behaviour.

You'll participate in:

  • User observation

  • User testing

  • Feedback collection

  • Results analysis

  • Improvement prioritisation

Who We're Looking For

You're currently studying UX/UI Design, Product Design, Interactive Design, or a related design discipline (Master's level or equivalent).

You identify with several of the following:

  • You master Figma and its advanced features (Auto Layout, Components, Variables, Prototyping)

  • You're passionate about Design Systems

  • You enjoy both UX thinking and UI craftsmanship

  • You understand mobile design best practices

  • You can move from user research to polished interfaces

  • You're detail-oriented and rigorous

  • You're autonomous and proactive

  • You enjoy building products that solve real problems

Fluency in French is required.

Dutch is a strong asset and will help support HEYA's growth across both Belgian communities.
