Why does HEYA exist?

What is HEYA?

Why does HEYA exist?

A rich sector… but a fragmented one

Searching for an opportunity, a collaboration, a stage, or a project takes time, energy, and often… a lot of luck.

Information is scattered.

Networks are sometimes closed, or limited to specific disciplines.

Visibility often depends on algorithms that reflect neither talent nor the diversity of career paths.

Some artists and professionals miss out on opportunities simply because they are not in the “right place”, at the “right time”, or in the “right network”.

And beyond visibility, there is a deeper reality: a sector where connections do exist, but often remain informal, hard to access, and poorly structured.

A field experience

For ten years, I worked in a theatre, in reception, public relations, and communications.

There, I met a wide diversity of artists, audiences, and professionals. I saw how a single encounter could change a career path, open a door, or spark a project.

But I also saw the limits: opportunities circulating within certain circles, information locked inside networks, and talent struggling to find its place. And artists juggling multiple roles, combining several jobs, always expected to do more.

The Heya Sessions were created alongside the development of the platform, with the intention of building more open, accessible, and human spaces for connection.

But very quickly, one thing became clear: we needed to go further.

Rethinking how we connect

What I want to change with HEYA is the way people in the arts and cultural sector meet, exchange, and access opportunities.

To imagine a space where:

  • disciplines are no longer siloed

  • encounters do not depend solely on chance

  • opportunities are visible, accessible, and shareable

  • everyone can find their place, regardless of their background

A space that does not replace real-life encounters, but facilitates, extends, and enables them.

Here You Art: a platform designed for the sector

Here You Art was born from this vision.

It is a platform dedicated to the people who bring the arts and cultural sector to life: artists, technicians, curators, programmers, organisations, and engaged cultural professionals.

Concretely, it allows users to:

  • discover profiles and talents

  • share and find opportunities

  • create professional and human connections

  • make visible what is not always visible

The idea is not to create yet another social network. But a useful tool, designed from real field needs.

From digital to real life (and back again)

HEYA is not limited to a platform.

The Heya Sessions are its natural extension.

They bring to life, in a tangible way, what the platform aims to facilitate: encounters, exchanges, and collaborations.

Digital and live do not oppose each other. They complement each other.

One helps discover, connect, and structure.

The other helps feel, meet, and create bonds.

Together, they form an ecosystem.

And now?

HEYA is still at its beginning.

But the ambition is clear: to build a tool that evolves with its users, adapts to their needs, and contributes, at its scale, to making the sector more open, more accessible, and more connected.

Because behind every project, every collaboration, every encounter… there is a person who, at some point, had access to the right opportunity.

Join the journey

If this vision resonates with you, you can follow the project, test the platform when it becomes available, or simply stay informed about upcoming steps.

HEYA is being built with and for the people who make the sector. And this is only the beginning.
